What changed for merchants, newest first.

  1. Beta: Up to date with Shopify's October 2026 release

    • The app talks to Shopify through the latest interface (version 2026-10). Nothing changes for you.
    • Redirects while signing in only lead into this app or your Shopify admin.
  2. Beta: New name and privacy policy

    • The app is now called "UM Multistore Sync", formerly "Multistore Inventory Sync". "UM" stands for UBARTAS.MEDIA, the developer.
    • The privacy policy, including the legal notice, is publicly available in English and German.
    • The app isn't in the Shopify App Store yet. Every entry here describes the beta.
  3. Beta: English and plans by variant

    • The whole interface is now also available in English. The app follows the language of your Shopify admin.
    • Plans are now tiered by synced variants instead of by number of stores. There's a free plan, and every feature is included in every plan.
    • One subscription covers the whole sync group.
    • The Overview page shows the number of variants next to your plan's limit. From 80% it warns you in advance. Over the limit, real-time sync that is already on keeps running.
    • Fixed: for privacy requests about customers that Shopify forwards, the app stored the email address and phone number along with them. It no longer does, and older entries have been cleaned up.
  4. Beta: Activity log, getting started and clearer messages

    • New "Activity log" page: every transfer and every number set by a sync is listed as a sentence, with trigger, target, result and time. Filter by SKU, store, result and date range.
    • One click on a SKU opens its full history in the activity log.
    • A newly installed store gets "Getting started" on the Overview page, with the next step and the reason for it.
    • Error messages name the cause and the next step in plain language, right where the error happened.
    • All settings are in one place, on the "Settings" page.
    • Notices can be dismissed and only come back when there's a new reason.
    • If a problem lasts more than 30 minutes, the Overview page points it out.
    • Fixed: the "Try again", "Process again" and "Checked, resume" buttons on the Overview page were disabled.
    • Fixed: if real-time sync couldn't be turned on, the button seemed to do nothing. Now the reason shows up right away.
  5. Beta: Real-time sync, retries and self-healing

    • Real-time sync: inventory changes move to the other stores in the group, two-way or one-way. Turning it on first runs a sync using your rule.
    • Safety brake for real-time sync: if more than 20 inventory levels in one store drop to 0 within 10 minutes, the app pauses real-time sync for that store.
    • Anything that doesn't go through is retried over twelve hours. Whatever is still open after that appears on the Overview page under "Needs your attention" and can be queued again.
    • If the app was down for more than 15 minutes, it starts a sync on its own afterwards.
    • If a sync finds changes that real-time sync missed, it catches them up and reports it on the Overview page.
    • The Overview page shows the last transfer, today's transfers and errors, and the delay over the last hour.
    • A group can have several location links. Each change stays within its link.
  6. Beta: Reasons why nothing was synced

    • A sync now tells you when stock sits at a location that isn't in any location link.
    • It also tells you when inventory tracking is off for a SKU in a store, and how to fix it.
    • Locations that can't be linked, because they're inactive or managed by another service, are now visible and marked with the reason.
  7. Beta: Connecting stores, matching and syncs

    • Two stores can be connected into a sync group with an invite code.
    • Matching uses the SKU to find which variants are the same across stores and gives the reason for every variant it can't match.
    • A sync brings inventory in line using your rule, manually or on a schedule once or twice a day.
    • A safety brake holds back changes that would drop inventory to 0 even though another store has stock.
    • Every write is recorded with its old and new value.
